SubLime Citrus Margarita
I have been making & refining this margarita recipe for over 20 years. Sure, it takes a little more work then cracking open one of those craft can cocktails or pouring a bottled margarita mixer into tequila, but it’s SOOOO worth it— trust me!
The recipe’s below and as I always say, “Here’s how I make it, but have fun experimenting with your favorite spirits, ratios & techniques so you can love it as much as I do!”
Margarita Basics
Pre-make a batch of the home-made Sweet & Sour Mix, then combine all ingredients:
4 Parts Sweet & Sour Mix (recipe below)
2 Parts Hornitos® Reposado Tequila
1 Part Cointreau orange liqueur
Serve on The Rocks
Sweet & Sour Recipe
1/2 cup lime juice (approx. 4 hand-squeezed limes)
1/3 cup orange juice (approx. 2 hand-squeezed oranges)
1/4 cup lemon juice (approx. 2 hand-squeezed lemons)
1/4 cup cane sugar (for skinny-style, use half the amount)
1/2 cup water (HINT: for better dissolving, mix the sugar above with luke warm water before adding to the juices)
